Favourite Bread
This is my favourite bread recipe. I adapted it from one I found on the Internet that made 3 loaves. I’ve changed it so that it works in my Westbend bread machine. I set my machine for a 2lb loaf, light crust, Basic cycle. The recipe by weights follows. Add these to your machine in the listed order:
314g water
19g melted butter
99g honey
11g kosher salt
330g bread flour
220g whole wheat flour
7g bread machine yeast
In case you want to scale, here it is in baker’s percentages:
bread flour 60%
whole wheat flour 40%
water 57%
honey 18%
butter melted 3.5%
active dry yeast 1.2%
salt 2%
